A Special Hearing was held on September 14, 2026 in the Board Meeting Room in the Elementary Building. Administrators present were Superintendent Jessica Bland, Elementary Principal Becky Rennerfeldt and Secondary Principal Travis Steinhoff. Diane Pelan-Johnson called the hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. and noted the Open Meetings Law. Notice of this meeting was properly posted and/or published by advance Public Notice in accordance with Board Policy #2008 with notice and advance agenda given to the President of the Board and all members prior to the meeting date. ROLL CALL Roll Call was called with the following members present: Brett Johnson, Dane Johnson, Diane Pelan-Johnson, and Henry Unwin. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING The purpose of this hearing is to study the proposed 2026-2027 budget and receive public comment on the budget as it is considered for adoption by the Board of Education. Jon Dockhorn arrived at 7:46 p.m. Superintendent Bland reviewed the budget presentation and budget/tax request documents published in the Burt County Independent. President Dockhorn asked for further comments from the board and visitors present. There were no further comments.
