The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in regular session on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Media Center.  Present were Archer, Bacon, Brehmer, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, Troutman, and Vlach. President Lisa Christiansen opened the meeting at 7:31 p.m . Superintendent Report: A report was shared on the current number of student hours we have reached for the 2025-26 school year. Teacher contracts were handed out and are due back March 16th. The board discussed participating in the NASB self-assessment process next January to continue planning for the future of LDNE. The handicap parking and activity entrance were discussed, as well as a legislative update. Principal Report: Professional development the last month was spent on special education, literacy, data, SEL, and behavioral mental health. Activities and events are happening throughout the district – please check the website and social media sites for the latest happenings. The following motions were made: 1. To approve the consent agenda. 2. Accept the resignation of Ms. Amanda Stuhr, with regrets, at the end of the 25-26 school year. 3. To approve the teacher contracts for Mrs. Mikayla Hegy and Mrs. Nancy Lierman for the 26-27 school year. 4. To approve the 4th amended P2T resolution. There will be a P2T board meeting on Monday, March 16th at 6:30 p.m. in West Point.
