The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in a special session on Monday, August 25, 2025, in the Media Center. Present were Archer, Bacon, Brehmer, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, and Vlach. Excused absent was Troutman. President Christiansen opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. The following motions were made: 1. to approve the consent agenda. 2. to approve the purchase of a 2025 10-person van from Woodhouse. 3. to approve the sale and disposal of excess tangible personal property. Discussion was held on the 2025-2026 Budget and Tax Request. The next board meeting will be held Monday, September 8th at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center; we will start with the budget and tax request hearings.
