MONTHLY BOARD MEETING Oakland Heights Conference Room March 18, 2026 The Oakland Heights Board of Directors met in open and public session in the Oakland Heights Conference room. Notice of the meeting was made in advance thereof by posting in three places, one of the designated methods for giving advance notice. The meeting was called to order by President Judy Schernikau at 8:30 am. Minutes of the February 18,2026 meeting were approved as distributed. A quorum was established with the presence of Randy Johnson, Elisabeth Linder, Dee Peterson and Dan Tanksley jr. Also present were Interim Administrator Kailee Johnson and Administrator candidate Tami Klinedinst. President Judy and Admin. Kailee led discussion for agenda items for this meeting. President Judy introduced Tami Klinedinst as our next Administrator. Tami will begin full time work as soon as her State of Nebraska license application is approved. This Board is lucky to have Kailee available to be interim leader during our transition times. Thank you Kailee for your dedication to Oakland Heights. Each Board member introduced themselves to Tami with some personal information. No extra discussion was needed for Old Business agenda items. NEW BUSINESS A State of Nebraska survey crew came on 3/17/2026. No deficiencies were found during the survey. Thanks to everyone for consistent excellent management of information and the needs of our residents. Oakland Heights improvement projects were reviewed. Professional workers are contacted to begin and complete phases of the project list. Schedules and other timing are keeping our projects incomplete at this writing. A motion was offered by Randy Johnson with a second from Elisabeth Linder to exit regular session and enter executive session. On roll call all ayes no nays motion carried. Executive session began at 9:18AM. Executive discussion focused on personnel matters. A motion was offered by Randy Johnson with a second from Dee Peterson to exit executive session and return to regular session. On roll call all ayes no nays, motion carried. Regular session resumed at 9:35AM. During discussions, a set of adjustments to the new Administrator Contract were offered and accepted by the Board of Directors. A motion was offered by Dee Peterson with a second from Elisabeth Linder to accept the contract terms as agreed upon. A motion was offered by Elisabeth Linder with a second from Dee Peterson to authorize President Judy Schernikau to offer an employment contract, as amended, to Candidate Tami Klinedinst for her consideration. On roll call all ayes no nays motion carried. COVID This Past month 0 positive staff members and 0 positive residents QAPI Quality measures and processes are the main focus; Falls, hospitalization/rehospitalization, UTI, and mask fit testing, and continuing education. Oakland Heights remains a 5 -STAR facility Census: Skilled facility has 39 residents and 20 in assisted living HELP WANTED Full-time or part-time RN/LPN for evening and overnight shifts, Partt ime or full time CNA/CMA for evening and night shift, Part-time CMA for ALF evening and night shifts Incident summaries were reviewed, financials distributed and warrants submitted for payment. A motion was offered by Randy Johnson with a second from Elisabeth Linder to pay warrants as submitted. On roll call all ayes no nays motion carried. Next meeting planned for April 15,2026.
