City of Oakland, NE Planning Commission Meeting January 7th, 2025, Proceedings The Planning Commission of the City of Oakland will hold a public hearing and meeting at 6:30 p.m. on January 7th, 2024 at the Municipal Building, 401 N. Oakland Avenue, Oakland, NE, to consider the following: Discussion of Rezoning C3 area of the following Parcel ID’s: 112714600 , 112714500, 112714400, 112714300, 312714200, 312714000, 312710700,112705600,11217600,312705500,112705300,112701400,112701300,112701200,112701100,112701000,112700900 within the City of Oakland NE Corporate limits to zoning of R2. Discussion of Lot Split for Lot 14, Block 5, City of Oakland, Burt County, Nebraska (Parcel ID# 112614100). A meeting of the Oakland Planning Commission was held on January 7th, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. In the Rosen Room of the City Auditorium. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Todd Cull. Planning commissioners in attendance were Dan Tanksley III, Matt Johnson, Jordan Swenson and Jason Beckstrom. Excused: Darla Nelson. A quorum was established. Also, in attendance were Zoning Administrator Kayla Eisenmenger. 1) At 6:30 pm Member Tanksley III made a motion to waive the three readings of the minutes of November 4th, 2024, minutes and to approve. Member Beckstrom seconded the motion. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 2) At 6:31 pm Member Johnson made a motion to open the public hearing. A motion was seconded by Member Beckstrom. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. Discussion of Rezoning C3 area of the following Parcel ID’s: 112714600 , 112714500, 112714400, 112714300, 112701400, 112701300 112701200, 112701100, 112701000, and 112700900 within the City of Oakland NE Corporate limits to zoning of R2. Following Parcel ID’s: 312714200, 312714000, 312710700,112705600,11217600, 312705500, 112705300 within the City of Oakland NE Corporate limits to zoning of I1. After discussion and review of all parcel id’s, Member Johnson made a motion to close public hearing at 6:48pm. Motion was seconded by Member Beckstrom. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. Member Johnson made a motion to approve recommendation of discussion of Rezoning C3 area of the following Parcel ID’s: 112714600 , 112714500, 112714400, 112714300, 112701400, 112701300 112701200, 112701100, 112701000, and 112700900 within the City of Oakland NE Corporate limits to zoning of R2. Following Parcel ID’s: 312714200, 312714000, 312710700,112705600,11217600, 312705500, 112705300 within the City of Oakland NE Corporate limits to zoning of I1tp the City Council. Motion was seconded by Member Beckstrom at 6:48pm. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 3) At 6:49pm Member Johnson made a motion to open public hearing discussion of Lot Split for Lot 14, Block 5, City of Oakland, Burt County, Nebraska (Parcel ID# 112614100). Motion was seconded by Member Swenson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. After discussion Planning Commission members would like to recommend before lot split to be approved that easements should be determined. An easement recommendation of 9-12 feet for the West side and a 15 ft easement for the South side to be presented to the City Council. At 7:10pm Member Johnson made a motion to close the public hearing. Motion was seconded by Member Beckstrom. All planning commissioners present voted Aye. 4) Meeting adjourned at 7:11 p.m. Motion was made by Member Swenson and seconded by Member Johnson. All planning commissioners present voted Aye.
