City of Oakland Council Proceedings July 1st, 2025 Special Council Meeting On July 1st, 2025, the governing body met for a Special Meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Oakland, Nebraska, which was held at the Municipal Building, 401 North Oakland Avenue in Oakland, Nebraska. The public had been advised of the meeting by the publication of notice in Oakland Independent as well as three public places: City Auditorium, Post Office, and First NE Bank of Nebraska. Mayor Dan Jacobs started the meeting at 10:00 a.m. with Roll Call. Council President Nathan Anderson and Council Member Amy Denker-Rost were all in attendance. All present Voting: Aye (Jacobs, Anderson, Denker-Rost ) - 3, Nay - 0. In attendance were Clerk Kayla Eisenmenger. JEO Consultant : Ethan Joy. 1. At 10:05am Council President Anderson made a motion to approve Change Order Water Project# D311703 per Manhole Topper, Water Main Connection, PFAS Testing, and Building Extension per Logan East Discussions in the amount of $93,181.88. Motion was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. All present Voting: Aye (Anderson, Jacobs, Denker-Rost) - 3, Nay - 0. 2. At 10:08am Council President Anderson made a motion to approve Pay App # 7 to Eriksen in regards of Water Project # D311703 in the amount of $433,007.50. Motion was seconded by Council Member Denker-Rost. All present Voting: Aye (Denker-Rost. Jacobs, Anderson) - 3, Nay 0. 3.
