The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in regular session on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the Secondary Library. Present were Bacon, Brehmer, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, and Vlach. Excused Absent: Archer and Troutman. Lindsey Beaudette opened the meeting at 8:00 p.m. It was moved by Chad Brehmer, seconded by Corey Petersen, that the President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer for Burt County School District #20 board of education remain in office and serve another 1-year term. The 2022-2023 Alicap report was shared. The alumni reached out and requested the school donate 10 items from the old building, prior to it being torn down, as auction items as a fundraiser. Principal Report: Professional development the last month was spent on special education, climate, data, math curriculum, and MTSS interventions. Congratulations to the LDNE students who earned post season awards in cross country, football, volleyball, and play production. Also, congratulations to our band and choir students who are performing in special honor performances. The Building and Grounds Committee met for our bi-weekly meetings with Clark & Enersen and Boyd Jones on December 21st and January 4th. The following motions were made: 1.
