ORDINANCE NO. 751 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYONS, NEBRASKA, RELATING TO MUNICIPAL AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS, AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY; PROVIDING A MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM COMPENSATION RANGE SCHEDULE FOR EACH; REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS ORDINANACES, AMENDMENTS, AND SECTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYONS, NEBRASKA: Section 1. Chapter 1, Article 9, Section 1-903 of the Lyons Municipal Code of Lyons, Nebraska, shall be amended to read as follows: §1-903 MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS. (A) The officers and employees of the city shall receive such compensation as the Mayor and Council shall fix by ordinance. (Neb. RS 17-108) The pay ranges for each officer or employee are hereby fixed as follows: OFFICER or EMPLOYEE; SALARY Mayor; $ 1,275 per quarter Council Member; $ 675 per quarter City Attorney; By contract City Clerk-Treasurer; $ 3,000 - $ 7,000 monthly Deputy Clerk; $ 11.00 - $ 30.00 per hour Utility Superintendent; $ 3,000 - $ 7,000 monthly Electric Foreman; $ 11.00 - $ 35.00 per hour Water Operator ; $ 11.00 - $ 35.00 per hour Power Plant Foreman-Wastewater Operator; $ 11.00 - $ 35.00 per hour Police Chief; $ 3,000 - $ 7,000 monthly Police Officer (certified); $ 2,500 - $ 6,000 monthly Police Officer (part-time); $ 24.00 Patrol time per hour; $3.00 Call time per hour Grant Writer; $ 11.00 - $ 30.00 per hour Library Director; $ 11.00 - $ 30.00 per hour Librarian; $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Library Janitor; $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Police Station Janitor; $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Recycling Care Tech; $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Property Care Tech (mowing); $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Pool/Bathhouse Manager (seasonal); $ 9.00 - $ 25.00 per hour Assistant Pool Manager (seasonal); $ 8.50 - $ 24.00 per hour Lifeguards (seasonal); $ 7.25 - $ 20.00 per hour The City Council may, from time to time, in their sole discretion, authorize extra pay incentives (bonuses) for the City’s employees, in an amount to be determined by the Council. Section 2. All ordinances, amendments, and sections in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3.
