NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL PROPERTY SEALED BID SALE BY THE CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA Notice is hereby given that the City of Oakland, Nebraska is having a sealed bid sale of real property. OFFERING FOR SALE CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY LOCATED AT LOT 14, BLOCK 5, CITY OF OAKLAND, BURT COUNTY, NEBRASKA; PROVIDING THE MANNER, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH SALE. City wishes to offer for sale the following portion of the above-described property, to wit: The East 44’ of Lot 14, Block 5, City of Oakland, Burt County, Nebraska; The City, by and through its City Council, and pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 17-503 (Reissue 2022), hereby offers for sale the following real property it owns: The East 44’ of Lot 14, Block 5, City of Oakland, Burt County, Nebraska (hereinafter “the Property”). Any person desiring to submit a responsive bid, together with supporting documentation described in the below, shall do so, under seal, to the Office of the City Clerk, 401 N. Oakland Ave., Oakland, NE 68045-1134, so it is received in the Clerk’s office no later than February 12th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Any bid received after such date and time shall not be considered. Any bid submitted in any other manner shall not be considered. Bids shall be opened and may be awarded at the regular meeting of the City Council on February 17th, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Terms and conditions of sale are as follows: the City intends to sell the Property to the most responsive bidder. Bidders shall include in the bid the proposed purchase price and a detailed explanation of the bidder’s intended use of the Property upon sale. The City will consider both proposed purchase price and intended use of the Property when determining the most responsive bidder and awarding a bid. A minimum bid in the amount of $500.00 is required. The Property is being sold “as is,” without warranty of any kind as to the condition of any improvements thereon, and subject to any and all restrictions and encumbrances of record and subject to compliance with any and all Nebraska laws governing the procedure of the sale of real property by a Nebraska municipality classified as a city of the second class. Conveyance shall be by corporation special warranty deed. The City will consider all reasonable bids, but reserves the right to reject any and all bids and reserves the right to request additional information and supporting documentation from any bidder prior to the award of any bid. Sale shall be confirmed by ordinance that will identify the purchaser and terms of sale. The City shall remain in possession of the real property until such confirmation and closing of sale.
