NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING CITY OF TEKAMAH, NEBRASKA CITY COUNCIL The City Council of the City of Tekamah will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on October 8, 2026, at the City Auditorium, 1315 K Street, Tekamah, NE 68061, during the Tekamah City Council meeting to consider the following amendments to the City’s zoning regulations pertaining to wireless communication towers: • Permitting wireless communication towers within the agricultural (AG) zoning district as either a permitted use or a conditional use; • Amending existing zoning regulation 7.10.03 to include government and quasi-government entities among the exemptions from zoning regulation 7.10 (wireless communication towers); and • Amending existing zoning regulation 7.10.07 to provide different setback requirements for wireless communication towers owned by government, quasi-government, and first-responder entities. At said time and place all interested persons and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard, the City Council will receive the advice and recommendation of the Planning Commission, and the City Council will determine whether the above-referenced amendments should be made.
