NOTICE OF 2ND PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT 20-PP-007 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Craig Fire Hall, the Village of Craig, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing concerning the activities of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and to give citizens the opportunity to be heard regarding the Planning grant, 20-PP-007. The Village of Craig was awarded CDBG Planning funds of $22,000 for the Craig Street Evaluation and Critical Infrastructure Mapping Initiative. Specifically, $20,000 was used to hire the Village Engineer to conduct an evaluation of all street conditions within the Village, prioritize areas of improvement as directed by the Board, and group into phases that will provide long-term planning for the Village, and mapping the Village’s sanitary sewer system and storm sewer system using GIS technology. $2,000 was awarded for grant administration and audit cost. The Village of Craig has provided the required match of $5,000 for the planning project activities. To date, $25,000 has been used for planning activities and $2,000 has been used for General Administration of the grant. No persons, businesses, or farms were displaced as a result of CDBG activities. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant at Craig Fire Hall, 333 S. Main St., Craig, Nebraska. Written and oral testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 7 p.m., March 14, 2024, Craig Fire Hall, 333 S. Main St., Craig, Nebraska.
