Demolition Grant Guideline changes: The board voted to change guidelines to require 2 bids for Demolition Grant applications… motion Pearson, Webster, all Ayes. Interlocal Agmt. w/Cuming Co. for Juvenile Diversion Program An interlocal agreement with Cuming Co. to continue to co-op for the Juvenile Diversion Program was signed. (Zoning) Planning Commission Board Member: Planning Commission board member Tony Moseman resigned from the Planning Commission Board. The Co. Board voted to approve the appointment of Tyler Weitzenkamp to replace Moseman… motion Webster, Connealy, all Ayes. (Zoning) Eagle Island Final Plat A Public Hearing was held from 9:47-9:55 a.m. Speaking during public hearing: Two (2) members of the public voiced concerns about the development (1) Donette Jackson; (2) Theresa DeVries. Project developer and Landowner David Brainard answered questions about the development. Zoning Admin Ann Chytka cited information about the development. The Burt Co. Board approved the final plat for Eagle Island Subdivision… motion Swanson, Tobin, all Ayes. ROADS: Ann Chytka, Highway Superintendent Project updates. No action needed at this time. Burt Co. Extension Office Luan Oliviera was present to discuss: (a) Vehicle: at this time no further work will be done on the vehicle. (b) Staffing introduction: Stacey Keys has completed her probation period; she introduced herself, gave an update on her 4-H programming and project, and explained new school enrichment programs she is doing at local schools. Board member Pearson had further questions and concerns about the new programming and asked that reports and data be shared when she can create history of such data. (c) Staffing pay rate for seasonal and/or fill-in office help: Luan asked for approval to grant their department’s seasonal and fill-in office help raises for years of service. The Co. Board denied the request and set a standing rate for seasonal and fill-in help at $13.00/hour. They requested all offices pay the same rate for any fill-in office help that is hired on temporary basis; no cost of living will be given for those positions and no increases for years of service. PUBLIC COMMENT: Frederick C. Schmidt – made a complaint about not received phone calls back from Burt Co. Sheriff after reaching out several times; Schmidt previously made a complaint about treatment from a Sheriff Deputy while reporting an incident he had.
