LYONS CITY COUNCIL MEETING June 14, 2022 A special meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of Lyons was called to order by Mayor Fuston at 5:30 P.M., June 14, 2022, at the Lyons City Hall. Present were Council members Steinmeyer, Wheaton, Housh Sr, and Brink. Also in attendance were City Attorney Smith, and City Clerk Anderson. The meeting was called to order upon motion by Steinmeyer, seconded by Housh Sr. On roll call, AYE: Wheaton, Steinmeyer, Housh Sr, Brink. NAY: None. Absent: None. Motion passed. Mayor Fuston publicly stated to all in attendance that a current copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act was available for review and indicated the location of such copy available in the room. Advance notice of said special meeting was given to the Mayor and all members of the Council, and a copy of their receipt of such notice and the agenda is filed in the City Clerk’s office. Availability of the agenda was communicated by posting notices in three public places and in the notice to the Mayor and Council. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. Motion by Brink, seconded by Housh Sr to approve payment #5 of $95,464.00 to WesTech Engineering for final payment on the temporary water treatment system for the water treatment plant project. On roll call, AYE: Housh Sr, Brink, Steinmeyer, Wheaton. NAY: None. Motion Carried Motion by Housh Sr, Second by Brink to reject the reconsideration of Drawdown #9 of CDBG funds in the total of $80,186.00 to the City of Lyons on the Water Treatment Plant project since payments #4 and #5 were approved and Downdraw #9 was approved at the last meeting. On roll call, AYE: Wheaton, Steinmeyer, Housh Sr, Brink. NAY: None. Motion Carried Motion by Steinmeyer, Second by Wheaton to approve payment of $144.40 to Terry Ueding for reimbursement of travel expenses to NPGA conference. On roll call, AYE: Steinmeyer, Housh Sr, Brink, Wheaton. NAY: None. Motion Carried Motion by Wheaton, Second by Brink to approve the Music Ambassadors to use the city’s empty lot west of the Library. On roll call, AYE: Steinmeyer, Housh Sr, Brink, Wheaton. NAY: None. Motion Carried. Motion by Brink, seconded by Wheaton to adjourn the meeting at 5:48 PM.
