INVITATION TO BID ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECT LYONS-DECATUR NORTHEAST SCHOOLS 1. PROJECT INFORMATION. Burt County School District No. 11-0020, commonly known as Lyons-Decatur Northeast Schools (the “District”), is requesting bids from qualified individuals or entities for an asbestos abatement project at the District’s school building. The project will be completed in two phases. The project site is anticipated to be available for construction to commence on or about May 18, 2023. Construction of the first phase shall be completed no later than June 2, 2023. 2. BID SUBMISSION AND OPENING. Bids must be made on the bid form contained in the Bidding Documents. One (1) completed copy of the bid form, signed by the bidder, shall be addressed and delivered to Lyons-Decatur Northeast Schools, Attn: Superintendent, 400 South 5th, Lyons, NE 68038. Bids will be received until 4:00 pm local time on February 9, 2023, at which time they will be opened publicly and simultaneously in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives. E-mail, facsimile, electronic, or telephone bids are not allowed. Any bid received after the deadline will not be opened or considered, and will be returned to bidder. 3. AWARDING OF BID. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. The winning bid shall be announced by the Board of Education at its meeting to be held on February 13, 2023, or at such other meeting determined by the Board. 4. BIDDING DOCUMENTS.
