City of Oakland Council Proceedings September 25th, 2023 On September 25th, 2023, the governing body met for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the final tax request at a different amount than the prior year tax request. The public had been advised of the meeting by the publication of notice in Oakland Independent as well as three public places: City Auditorium, Post Office, and First NE Bank of Nebraska. Mayor Dan Jacobs started meeting at 5:10 p.m. with Roll Call. Council President Nathan Anderson, Council Member Jeremiah Johansen, and Council Member Scott Swenson were all in attendance. Excused: Council Member Amy Denker-Rost All present Voting: Aye (Nathan, Jeremiah, Scott )- 3, Nay - 0. Also in attendance were Clerk Kayla Eisenmenger Motions were made, seconded, and carried for the following items of business: 1. At 5:10 p.m. Council President Nathan Anderson made a motion to accept and approve the September 25th, 2023 minutes. Motion was seconded by Council Member Scott Swenson. All present Voting: Aye (Nathan, Jeremiah, Scott)- 3, Nay - 0. 2. At 5:11pm Council President Anderson made a motion to pass Resolution 2023-11. Motion was seconded by Council Member Swenson.
