The regular monthly meeting of the Oakland Heights Board convened in open and public session on January 12, 2022 at 8:30am, in the Conference Room at Oakland Heights. Notice of the meeting was made public in advance thereof by posting notice in three places, one of the designated methods for giving advance notice. The meeting was called to order by President, Judy Schernikau. Present were Kathy Rennerfeldt, Dan Tanksley, JR., Rosa Schmidt, and Randy Johnson. Also in attendance were Interim Administrator Paige Knauss, Director of Nursing Christina Arnold, and Business Office Manager Karen Nelson. Minutes from December 16, 2021 were approved as distributed. Interim Administrator Paige Knauss was asked to present business items. Old business was presented, Bylaws were revised, motion made by Kathy Rennerfeldt to send the Bylaws to the City Council for approval. Dan Tanksley Jr. seconded. Motion carried. Rosa Schmidt welcomed as new member to the Board. Dan Tanksley Jr. made motion to have the Nursing Home Maintenance staff to complete light installation on Assisted Living contingent on Warranty. Randy Johnson seconded. Motion carried. Accounts receivables and write-offs were discussed. Christina gave a report on COVID, vaccine mandate, and discussed QAPI information. Oakland Heights census was 41 at the end of December. Assisted Living census was 18 at the end of December. There are openings for Administrator, full-time Nurse Aide/Medication Aide for days, evenings, and part-time for nights. A part-time laundry aide, full-time and part-time dietary aides/cooks for day and evenings. A Part-time medication aide is needed for Assisted Living. Incident summaries were reviewed and financials were distributed. Dan Tanksley, JR made a motion to pay warrants submitted. Kathy Rennerfeldt seconded. Motion carried.
