The Board of Education of the Lyons-Decatur School District No. 20 met in a Special Meeting on Monday, February 24, 2021. Present were: Archer, Bacon, Brehmer, Christiansen, Miller, Myers, Petersen, Troutman and Vlach. Administrators, Hansen, Swanson and Totten. The Open Meetings Act rules are posted on the north wall of the Library. The duly publicized meeting was opened at 8:01 p.m. by Christiansen. Acknowledgement of receipt and notice and agenda for the meeting was taken by roll call. Old Business: Discussion was held regarding the proposal from Bancroft-Rosalie BRLD board committee. New Business: The following motions were made: 1. Approved the following proposal to present to the Bancroft-Rosalie BRLD Board Committee: That the BRLD Coop continue, as stated in its original form, until its contractual conclusion; and Junior High sports will continue with playing all sports, or none of the Junior High sports. 2. Went into executive session at 8:48 p.m. to discuss real estate. 3. Came out of executive session at 9:16 p.m. The principals reported on the EHC speech meet results and calendar events with possible school day changes for the weeks of March 1st and March 8th (girls and boys state basketball).
