UPDATE: Two blown fuses have been replaced and as of 10:00 a.m. this morning, the city clerk has said that everyone should have water by 10:30 with a complete return to normal in about three hours.
The City of Oakland is asking all citizens to be patient as the internal water system is having issues this morning, Sept. 24th. Communication between the well and the treatment plant is down. The city clerk has reported that some may be without water at this time. They are working to hook up to an emergency source until the problem can be rectified. Please refraing from using excessive amounts of water to allow them time to make these adjustments.
The city has recent;y contracted with Logan East Rural Water to provide emergency services if a problem such as this occurred. As crews focus their full attention to fixing the problem, your patience is appreciated.
