NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Burt County Clerk until May 10th, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and opened at 9:45 during the Board of Supervisor’s meeting. This project is referred to as “2023 Courthouse Roof Replacement”. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk of Burt County, Burt County Courthouse, 111 N. 13th Street Tekamah, Nebraska 68061, and should be plainly marked as, “2023 Courthouse Roof Replacement” bid. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Burt County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start date and an End date with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for this project is November 1, 2023. Copies of Bid Documents are open to public inspection at the Burt County Building and Grounds Office 111 N 13th St. Tekamah, Nebraska 68061. Interested Bidders may contact Bruce Nathan by email at building.grounds@burtcountyne.gov, prior to May 3, 2023. Any contractor who does not gain pre-authorization to visit jobsite prior to May 3 will not be considered a qualified bidder. Those bids may be rejected by owner. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Burt County Board of Supervisors. No bidder may withdraw the bid until 30 days following the bid opening. Bidding Documents will be distributed via email to all pre-qualified bidders. The Burt County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act’s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 23-3110 to 23-3114.
