P&C Insurance: Kevin Brenneis from Brenneis Ins presented a deductible buy down option for wind/hail coverage on the Courthouse Building; the premium came in considerable higher than in past years, the board decided to not act at this time due to their plans of a possible new roof in FY23-24. Renewal paperwork for P&C insurance plan with Travelers for May 1, 2023 - April 30, 2024 was signed…. motion Titus, seconded by Connealy, All Ayes. County Health Insurance: Employee Health Ins options are being explored prior to the July 1, 2023 renewal date. (a) Dustin Will, consultant with Benefit Management (Lincoln): Dustin asked the board to consider letting him provide services to evaluate options and costs for employee benefits outside of the NACO group pool (the County’s current employee benefits provider). The County Board gave permission for Dustin to gather employee information from the Clerk’s office in order to provide benefit options. (b) Mike Boden, Benefit Services Manager with NACO Benefit Services: presented options within the NACO Group Pool for County Employee Benefit Plans effective July 1, 2023. He discussed the difference plan options and rates available via the NACO Group Pool as well as the added benefits that come with being in the Nebraska County Group Pool. (c) Mr. Boden also offered to explore and bring back information for options outside of the NACO Group Pool. No action was taken today; Discussions will continue at the May 10, 2023 board meeting, Insurance Reps will return with more information at that time. Burt County Extension: Luan Oliveira, PhD Extension Educator (a) Burt County Extension Board Constitution & ByLaws: Luan presented an updated version; Burt County Board approved signature to the updated document… motion Kutchera, Pearson, All Ayes. (b) Extension Vehicle: Luan reported the vehicle has repair appointment in May. Vehicle usage will be further discussed once repair situation is finalized. Meeting date changes: Wednesday meetings will overlap with Annual Conferences in June and December 2023; these dates will be moved to the Tuesday before to accommodate Officials attending their conferences. Wed, June 14th will move to Tues, June 13th; Wed, Dec. 13th will move to Tues, Dec. 12th. Board of Equalization was held from 10:35 a.m. - 10:37 a.m. See separate minutes. (1) Burt Co #114: parcel # 092062382 (Personal Property) – Donald Uhing: $5835.10 deducted from 2022 tax rolls – When owner passed in 2021, accounted listed items incorrectly. Error was discovered and personal property schedule was corrected.
