WHEREAS, the District Judge budget within the General Fund is over by $17,961.51, the County Sheriff budget within the General Fund is over by $23,803.38 and the County Surveyor budget within the General Fund is over by $2,981.61. AND WHEREAS, there is Budget Authority remaining in Miscellaneous (970) budget within the General Fund 0100. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Burt County Board of Supervisors that Budget Authority be transferred from Miscellaneous (970) budget within the General Fund to cover the above-mentioned office budget overages. Road Ditches: Supervisor Pearson shared that he had concerns expressed to him about mowing of road ditches and a high presence of poison hemlock in the ditches. Chytka confirmed that a notice for mowing was published in June. Chytka will inform Tory Penny, Weeds Superintendent about the poison hemlock concerns. Closed Session was held from 11:16 a.m.-11:40 a.m. for the protection of public interest to discuss courthouse security. No action was taken during closed session. PUBLIC COMMENT (2): (1) Donnette Jackson: spoke about 30x30 opposition; asked the Supervisors to take action to oppose. (2) Bill Price: shared information about carbon dioxide levels. Property Valuation Adjustment recommendations: Undervalued/Overvalued Property per §77-1315.01 were presented by Katie Hart, Burt Co. Assessor. (see full list in minutes online or in Co. Clerk’s office) The BOE reviewed, voted upon and approved the valuation changes… motion by Richards and Connealy. Updated valuation notices will be sent out, and taxpayers will have thirty days to Protest the new values if they choose to do so.
