City of Oakland Council Proceedings APRIL 17TH, 2023 On APRIL 17TH, 2023, the City Council of the City of Oakland, Nebraska, met on this day at 7:00 p.m. in a Regular Meeting at the Municipal Building, 401 North Oakland Avenue in Oakland, Nebraska for the regular monthly meeting. The public had been advised of the meeting by publication of notice in Oakland Independent as well as three public places: City Auditorium, Post Office, and First NE Bank of Nebraska. Mayor Dan Jacobs started the meeting at 7:00p .m with Roll Call. Council President Nathan Anderson, Council Member Jeremiah Johansen, Council Member Scott Swenson, and Council Member Amy Denker-Rost were all in attendance. All present Voting: Aye (Nathan, Jeremiah, Scott, Amy)- 4, Nay - 0. In attendance was Clerk Kayla Eisenmenger, scheduled citizens Fire Chief Nick Seery, Pyro Shack Firework owner Phillip Summers and Ben Murray. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. All present Voting: Aye (Nathan, Jeremiah, Scott, Amy)- 4, Nay - 0. 7) At 8:44pm approved INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF OAKLAND, NEBRASKA, AND CITY OF WEST POINT, NEBRASKA REGARDING USE OF CITY OF OAKLAND SWIMMING POOL. All present Voting: Aye (Nathan, Jeremiah, Scott, Amy)- 4, Nay - 0. 8) At 8:51pm approved sending Clerk Eisenmenger to two training courses in Lincoln, NE "Municipal Accounting & Finance Conference" June 21st - 23rd, 2023 and "Annual Conference" September 27th-29th, 2023 for continued education and treasurer hours.
